We define and govern our approach to environmental performance, workplace safety, responsible sourcing and ethical business conduct - across our organisation and value chain. This ensures consistency, transparency and accountability in everything we do.
Science Based Targets initiative
Our climate ambitions are aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), with near- and long-term emission reduction targets in line with a 1.5°C pathway.
EcoVadis
Independent frameworks such as EcoVadis help benchmark our sustainability progress externally. Faerch currently holds a Bronze rating, placing us in the top 35% of companies assessed on the platform, with particularly strong performance in Environment.
Sedex
Transparency across the supply chain is an important part of responsible sourcing and customer engagement. Through Sedex, Faerch shares sustainability information covering topics such as labour standards, health and safety, business ethics and environmental performance.
As of 2025, 19 out of 25 Faerch's production sites participate in Sedex and make sustainability data available to customers and business partners through the platform.
The information supports customer requests, supply chain transparency and our own efforts to monitor and improve sustainability performance across our operations.

Quality management at Faerch
Faerch uses the ISO9001 standard to demonstrate our ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements. Implementing an effective and robust ISO 9001 quality management system (QMS) helps us focus on the important areas of our business and improving efficiency. This is a process-based standard we use to control our processes leading to end products that meet the desired specifications. It gives our customers confidence that we work with procedures that will provide them with a high standard of customer service and deliver many advantages.
Environmental management
It is becoming increasingly important to demonstrate that organisations are thinking about their environmental impact and putting systems in place that will not only benefit the environment but will also reduce costs and improve efficiency within the organisation.
Having a well-defined ISO 14001 certified energy management system (EMS) provides us with an organised approach to achieving this compliance.
Global standards for packaging
The BRC Packaging Certification was designed by the British Retail Consortium and the Institute of Packaging to provide a technical standard for manufacturers of packaging materials for all types of products, on any level. The standard seeks to implement effective systems and procedures to ensure the quality and safety of packaging for food and non-food use. Since its launch in 2001, the standard has gained the approval of many major retailers and packaging businesses across the world.
Operation Clean Sweep
In 2025, we ensured all our European sites had taken the Operation Clean Sweep (OCS) pledge. We continously work on creating standardised procedures, regular internal audits and site-level initiatives across our operations to reinforce consistent material handling practices.
