Faerch has released its 2025 Sustainability Report, outlining the company’s progress on key sustainability topics, reinforcing its leadership in delivering circular, low-carbon food packaging solutions to the market.

Faerch today shares results from the product launch of circular PET meat trays developed in partnership with Norfersk, a leading Norwegian fresh-meat producer. The trays contain 70% CIRPET+™, Faerch’s food-grade recycled PET produced from recycled former food packaging (used food trays), supporting a tray-to-tray material loop for thermoformed food packaging.

Faerch today announces a major industry milestone with the introduction of CIRPET+, its next‑generation tray‑to‑tray clear and coloured recycled PET (rPET), now supported by a third‑party‑verified carbon footprint and formally published as the first tray‑to‑tray rPET emission factor in the global Sphera database.

As many recyclers across Europe face significant market pressures and operational challenges, Faerch’s integrated recycling facility, Cirrec, continues to demonstrate stable performance and steady progress. Cirrec has increased its internal supply of tray-based recycled PET (tray rPET), supporting Faerch’s ambition to scale circular packaging solutions at industrial level.
