In-mould labelling (IML)

Simplified production with high-quality visual results

In-mould labelling (IML) is a packaging technology where the label is added to a plastic container during the manufacturing process, rather than after the container is made. A pre-printed plastic label is placed inside the mould, and when the hot plastic is injected or blown into the mould, the label bonds permanently with the container. When the product is finished, the label is already part of the packaging and cannot peel, wrinkle, or fall off.

Integrated labelling for better performance

In‑mould labelling combines packaging and decoration in one step, delivering sharp, consistent branding. Labels are fused to the pack, ensuring durability, resistance to moisture, and a premium, long‑lasting appearance.

By removing separate labelling stages, it simplifies production and improves efficiency. The result is a robust, recyclable pack with reliable quality, reduced handling, and strong on‑shelf impact.

Where In-mould labelling performs best

In‑mould labelling is ideally suited to markets where durability, consistency and strong shelf presence are critical.
